Hello lovelies. The countdown is on, only 7 weeks to go! This year why don’t you join me in pledging to only buy local and sustainable gifts this year. Lets cut down on the extra 30% of waste that is created at Christmas every year!
I am counting you down to Christmas with my top 8 sustainable gifts. Click here to see lest weeks amazing eco friendly gift idea.
Todays sustainable gift idea is books! All books make a wonderful gift, however this year why not gift books about the environment!
At The Little Green Larder we have a wonderful range of children, teen and adult books that focus on the environmental impact we are having on our planet. Education is key when it comes to making a difference in our planet! Click here to see the books we have available online.
We have a small selection of our books available online and much more in store.
When I was a child my parents read to me every night. Then when I was old enough to read I started to read books myself and absolutely fell inlove with reading.
I love the idea of passing my love for books on to other people and encouraging the love for reading. That’s why I always gift my friends and families children books.
In order to help keep your books sustainable look after them. Make sure they dont get ripped or damaged and once you are done with them gift them to someone else or donate them to a charity shop.
Books have such a long life span, it is important to respect that and make sure other people get to read them once you are done. If it is a book that is special to you then add it to your bookshelf and maybe pass it down to your children.
I hope you enjoyed todays blog post and I will see you again next week for no. 6.
