Hello Lovelies. Wow, 6 weeks until Christmas! I can smell the cinnamon and cloves already!
I love Christmas, it is such a great time to chill out, take a break from work and spend time with people you love. I have always worked for myself, and year round my work is my main focus. I like to put everything I can into my job because I believe so much in it. However, over Christmas and New Year I always take time off for me to chill.
This year I am counting you down to Christmas with my top 8 sustainable Christmas gifts. Christmas doenst have to be trashy this year! Give your loved ones sustainable gifts that they will actually use. Check out last week’s post by clicking here.
This year is the year of practical gifts. I hate buying just for the sake of buying. I hear so many people saying “Ohh I need to get a few more things to bulk the gift out”. That is not what it’s about. There is nothing to prove with gift giving. A small sustainable gift or a gift with meaning is more than enough. I would much rather spend time with the people I love than receive expensive gifts from them.
Today sustainable gift idea is so practical we all use it every day.
Toilet roll. More specifically Who Gives A Crap, toilet roll.
At The Little Green Larder we are all about giving back. That is why Who Gives a Crap is a no brainer for us! They donate 50% of their profits to building toilets in countries that need them. They believe (as do we) that safe and dignified toilets are a basic human right and they are making it happen world wide.
Each roll is double length so 1 WGAC roll is the equivalent of 2 regular rolls. They are made from either recycled paper or sustainable bamboo and are completely plastic free.
This week we got a huge (and I mean huge) delivery of WGAC toilet roll at The Little Green Larder. You can buy single rolls or the new 6 pack from us in store. You can also buy in bulk and get a box of 48 at a discounted price.
If you are thinking you don’t have anywhere to store 48, why not split it with a friend! These boxes make the perfect Christmas present as it is a sustainable gift that anyone can use!
Pop into The Little Green Larder to buy some today.
